This is a traditionally knit Shetland Fair Isle pullover. The pattern for the main body and sleeve is an example of a Celtic Key design and is worked in a blend of 13 Blackberry Ridge colors reminiscent of a late afternoon Hawaiian sunset on Maui. It is complemented by rhomboid patterned rib borders. This design is worked in the round from the bottom up, using steeks for the sleeves and neck openings. After working the main body, the neck steeks are cut and the neckband is completed. Next, the armhole steeks are cut, and the sleeves are picked up from the body and worked down to the cuff. The rhomboid patterned rib is worked in matching colors.
This sweater is designed using a total of 13 colors in fingering
weight yarn and has instructions for chest sizes of 42", 44", 46" and 50".
